Kennett Bike Park

Vision

A free and accessible place for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn and develop biking skills, enjoy nature and build community.

What is a Bike Park?

The Bike Park will consist of woodland skill trails and a bike skills park. Both the trails and the skills park will have options for beginner to advanced riders. The bike park would consist of a circuit of dirt trails that have different rollers, berms and turns that are designed to be used by different skill levels.

All the bike skills trails will be pervious and the bike skills park will be landscaped with native pollinator gardens. Ash trees on the property that are affected by the ash borer will be used in the construction of the trails.

Simple metal signage will direct riders from Pennock Park to the various features of the bike park.

Location - The Parrish Property

Kennett Borough owns the Parrish Property in Kennett Township, on West South Street across from Pennock Park.

Currently, the Kennett Greenway runs through the property to Hillendale Road. The bike skills trails will be in the woods between Pennock Park and the bike skills park.

The skills park will be located in the northeast corner of the open field on the Parrish property.
