Youth Bike Program

Kennett Community Bike Project Youth Program is dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of children through bicycling. We believe that cycling not only promotes physical fitness but also instills valuable life skills such as responsibility, independence, and teamwork. As part of our commitment to fostering a healthy and active community, we organize an annual Bike Fest where children up to the age of 9 can receive free bicycles. This initiative aims to make cycling accessible to all children, regardless of their financial circumstances, allowing them to experience the joy and freedom that comes with riding a bike.

In addition to our Bike Fest, we offer classes and workshops tailored for youth aged 9-18. These classes are designed to teach safe cycling practices, basic bike maintenance, and the importance of environmental stewardship. We collaborate with local youth nonprofit organizations to ensure that our programs reach children in need, providing them with opportunities to participate in our events and classes at no cost. By partnering with these organizations, we can identify and support children who may not have access to bicycles or the means to participate in extracurricular activities.

If your organization is interested in collaborating with us to help distribute bicycles to children in need or to participate in our youth programs, please fill out the application provided. Through our youth program, we aim to empower children with the skills and confidence they need to become responsible cyclists and active community members. By providing free bicycles and educational opportunities, we hope to inspire a lifelong love of cycling and encourage healthy, active lifestyles among children in the Kennett area.
